28th July – Capalaba Retail Store update

Endeavour Foundation has made the difficult decision to exit our retail stores. Years of competition with fast fashion chains, online retailers, and tough economic headwinds have been amplified by the Covid-19 pandemic and taken their toll on our retail network.

The great news is that we have worked proudly in partnership with Link Vision who will take over the Capalaba store, including all existing store stock. With a vision similar to Endeavour Foundation, Link Vision is an organisation dedicated to helping people with Low and No vision to lead more independent lives.

Link Vision has also generously offered our staff and volunteers the opportunity to retain their positions at the store which is a great outcome for everyone.

The store will be re-opening on Monday 3rd August as Link Vision, and we encourage you to go along and support.

If you’d like to know more about Link Vision you can visit linkvision.org.au. To keep up to date with their news and updates, follow them on Facebook. To stay up to date with news and promotions from Link Vision, please sign up to their newsletter here.

Thank you for your support over the years and hope that you continue to enjoy shopping at Shop 9A/11 Dollery Rd, Capalaba, under the ownership of Link Vision.

As we continue to evaluate our reopening plans in the wake of COVID-19, I would like to update you on decisions made around our retail store operations.

In April, we temporarily closed our retail stores in accordance with government policy and public health guidelines.

04th June ‐ Retail Service Closures

COVID-19 has had a significant impact across all communities, which has triggered a review of the ongoing operations of our retail stores.

Due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19, Endeavour Foundation has made the decision to permanently close the majority of our retail stores.

We are permanently closing our Kirwan, Gympie, Golden Beach and Peregian stores with full exit before 30 June 2020. Our Stafford and Capalaba stores are still being reviewed for decision and we will provide updates on these stores as soon as possible.

This is sad news to all who have put such effort into our retail operations over the years. Please be assured that this direction is not based on any under-performance of individuals or the network, but rather is based on the need to focus as closely as possible on our core mission to support people with an intellectual disability, particularly during times of crisis such as COVID-19.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Endeavour Foundation Retail team, be they employees or volunteers, for their long term commitment to our retail operations.
