CEO opens new Recycled Clothing Store in Townsville

Fashionistas now have a fantastic new reason to shop until they drop after Endeavour Foundation CEO David Barbagallo opened the Willows-Kirwan Recycled Clothing Store today.
The store, located at Shop 1/743 Riverway Drive, Thuringowa, sells top-notch recycled goods with all profits going towards supporting people with a disability.
It was officially opened this morning with staff laying on a celebratory morning tea as Mr Barbagallo cut the ribbon. There were lucky door prizes for shoppers as well as an opening sale with a massive 20% off all stock.
The stunning new Willows-Kirwan store replaces Endeavour Foundation Recycled Clothing Condon, which closed earlier this year. It is ideally positioned close to the retail hub of Willows and Cannon Park - which will suit shoppers who are looking to recycle with style and snap up the perfect piece to personalise an outfit.
“It seems there has never been a better time to open a new Endeavour Foundation Recycled Clothing Store in the Townsville area,” said Mr Barbagallo.
“Following on from the inaugural Townsville Fashion Festival and the opening of Myer in the city, it’s clear that there is growing confidence in Townsville’s retail sector.
“Townsville is a city with a growing economy and a very bright future. This is one of the reasons why Endeavour Foundation has partnered with the Townsville Chamber of Commerce - an organisation that is focused on improving the business environment across all sectors,” he added.
Endeavour Foundation has a close alliance with Townsville, dating back to 1958 when the first local branch was formed.
Nowadays in the city there are 13 accommodation services; a Learning & Lifestyle service which enhances independence, confidence and interaction skills; a post-school service which was renovated and re-opened last year; and a Latch-On tertiary education program designed to develop literacy, technology and life skills in young adults. Altogether our local services support more than 100 clients.
The new Willows-Kirwan shop brings to 40 the number of Endeavour Foundation Recycled Clothing stores across Queensland and New South Wales. There is also an online store through eBay. They sell quality pre-loved goods thanks to community support through donations and people volunteering their time, with all profits going towards supporting people with a disability.
