Bringing Mumbai to Toowoomba for the 2016 'Ball for All'

29 June 2016

When the Darling Downs meets Bollywood, you can be assured of a night to remember. Join Endeavour Foundation for their third annual ‘Ball for All’ at the Armitage Centre, Empire Theatre, Toowoomba on Saturday 6 August.

Experience the colours, flavours and sounds of Mumbai as the local charity hosts its unique event for each and every member of the community.

Indian cuisine, Bollywood dancers, raffles, auctions and lucky door prizes are just a sample of the delights on offer.

Endeavour Foundation Support and Operations Manager, Linda Peacock, said that the night was a highlight of the local calendar.

“We are so grateful for the support of event sponsors Edmen Staffing Solutions, Dover & Sons, Black and White Cabs, Neil Mansell Transport and VJAS Building.

“There are only a limited number of tickets available – a snip at $40 per person. Guests will enjoy a fragrant, two-course Indian feast while entertained by Bollywood dancers, before taking to the dancefloor themselves.

“The last two years have shown the true spirit of the Darling Downs community, with everyone giving their all to this fabulous event, and we expect that this year will be no exception.”

Chair of Endeavour Foundation’s South West Queensland Area Committee, Diana McKay, said that inclusivity and shared enjoyment has been the driving force behind the local charity since its inception.

“As an organisation Endeavour Foundation remains committed to ensuring that the people we support stay at the centre of everything we do. That belief is now being echoed far and wide as we prepare to enter an exciting new era under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Our future will be all about putting people with a disability and their families in control of their future.

“We hope that, in the future, our annual ‘Ball for All’ will become just one in a host of ways in which people with a people with a disability can become increasingly involved in the community.”

The Bollywood ‘Ball for All’ will begin at 6.30pm on Saturday 6 August, with dancing ‘till late’ at the Armitage Centre, Empire Theatre, Toowoomba. To secure your ticket, or for more information, phone the Endeavour Foundation team on 07 4616 9300.
