How to Refer a Client to Endeavour Foundation as Part of IEA

Referring a client to the right IEA provider doesn’t need to be complicated. Here’s how to make it simple and stress-free.

With Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) now in place, the way you connect clients to employment services has changed.

For people with intellectual disability, choosing the right provider is critical to ensuring they receive the tailored support, workplace matching and ongoing guidance they need to thrive.

That’s where we come in.

At Endeavour Foundation, our purpose is to support people with intellectual disability to live their best lives, and rewarding employment plays a big part in that.

We focus on preparing individuals for open employment and providing the wraparound support needed to help them seek, start and stay in jobs they enjoy.

We also work closely with referrers to make the process clear, efficient and collaborative.

Referrals Currently Managed by Community Solutions

As part of our preparation for the 1 November 2025 IEA launch, all inclusive employment referrals are now being managed by Community Solutions – part of the Endeavour Foundation family.

To refer a participant or check eligibility, call its team on 1800 805 260.

Please note: We’re currently only accepting referrals for participants who meet IEA eligibility criteria. If you're unsure whether your client is eligible or ready for IEA, we’re happy to help you explore the best-fit option, including Supported Employment and other services offered by Endeavour Foundation.

Step 1: Gather Client Information

Having the right information ready before you refer can significantly speed up the process and improve the match. Key details include:

  • Basic information: Name, contact details and NDIS number (if applicable)
  • Employment goals: Industries of interest, preferred work environment, hours of work
  • Skills and qualifications: Previous jobs, formal training, transferable skills
  • Support needs: Workplace adjustments, assistive technology, communication preferences
  • Relevant documentation: Vocational, medical or functional assessments if available

Why it matters: The more we know upfront, the faster we can match your client to the right role and support stream (intensive or flexible) without unnecessary delays.

Step 2: Register Interest

Before IEA officially launches, you can register your client’s interest in Endeavour Foundation to stay informed and best prepare to ensure a smooth transition.

How to register:

  • Expression of Interest Form – quick, simple and available 24/7

Why it matters: Early engagement gives your clients more time to prepare, reduces last-minute confusion and ensures you’re equipped with everything you need ahead of the program rollout.

Step 3: Reach Out to Community Solutions

When you’re ready to make a referral, contact Community Solutions. It is managing referrals on behalf of Endeavour Foundation in the lead-up to the IEA rollout on 1 November 2025.

How to refer:

  • Call 1800 805 260 to speak with a Community Solutions team member

Why it matters: A direct phone call gives you immediate access to support, helps clarify eligibility or next steps and ensures your client is connected quickly and accurately.

Step 4: Collaborative Onboarding after 1 November

After the referral, we work closely with you, your client and their support network to:

  • Confirm their career goals, strengths and preferred work environment
  • Identify the right service stream and match them to suitable employers
  • Offer workplace visits or short trials to ensure the fit is right

Why it matters: This approach reduces the risk of job mismatches and helps your client feel more confident and supported from the very start.

Step 5: Ongoing Support After Placement

Our work doesn’t stop once your client starts their job. We stay involved to make sure the placement lasts. This includes:

  • On-the-job coaching to help them learn tasks and adapt to routines
  • Regular progress check-ins to address challenges early
  • Employer support with training, inclusion strategies and adjustments

Why it matters: Continuous support dramatically improves job retention rates and overall satisfaction for both the participant and the employer.

Why Choose Endeavour Foundation for IEA Referrals

  • Specialist expertise: Focused on intellectual disability employment for decades
  • Proven retention: Many participants remain in roles for years, developing skills and independence
  • Strong employer network: Diverse industries and roles to suit different goals
