Mark Fenton to chair Queensland Alliance for Mental Health (QAMH)

Mark Fenton

Endeavour Foundation would like to congratulate Mark Fenton, our Chief Financial Officer, who is the incoming Chairman of the Queensland Alliance for Mental Health (QAMH).

As well as his extensive work in the disability sector, Mark has long been an advocate for better mental health.

Mark said he was looking forward to making a worthwhile contribution by keeping mental health squarely on the government’s radar.

“Mental health is emerging as a significant issue in Australia, particularly regional Australia and there’s increasing need to support people who have a need at various times in their lives,” he said.

“There are two main sides to improving mental health; the clinical side and the community side of things.

“I might be receiving professional support for a mental health matter but I still need support in the community.”

Among many roles on boards, ranging from John Paul College to the Queensland Ballet, Mark is the Deputy Chairman of the Common Ground Queensland housing project, supporting homeless people into accommodation in Brisbane.
