Why Inclusive Employment Works

Inclusive workplaces do more than change lives. They improve business performance. Employers who participate in the Employer Ready Program (ERP) report stronger morale, better teamwork and higher retention.

People with intellectual disability bring creativity, problem-solving skills and a unique perspective that helps businesses innovate and grow.

By investing in inclusive capability, your organisation can:

  • Build productive, loyal teams where everyone contributes their strengths
  • Drive innovation and creativity through diverse perspectives
  • Meet Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals
  • Enhance brand reputation and customer trust
  • Experience lower turnover and higher engagement

Why We Work: Witness the Impact

Hear from one of our business partners about how inclusive hiring has strengthened their team, boosted innovation and built a workplace where everyone belongs.

What You Will Learn Through the Employer Ready Program

The ERP empowers organisations to foster inclusive, supportive and informed workplaces by enhancing awareness, promoting understanding and building confidence in employing people with disability.

Our mission is to guide organisations in creating environments where diversity is valued, and all employees, regardless of ability, can thrive and contribute. The program is built upon four main pillars:

Awareness Enhancement
Fostering a deep understanding of disability and its impact in the workplace to increase awareness and challenge misconceptions.

Inclusive Practices
Supporting organisations with creating inclusive environments where people with disability can participate fully and equitably in the workforce.

Building Confidence
Empowering employers with the tools, resources and knowledge to confidently employ and work alongside individuals with disability.

Supportive Partnerships
Facilitating collaboration between organisations and disability support networks to ensure ongoing success and positive outcomes for both employees and employers.

Endeavour Foundation can help you choose the employment model that best suits your business needs. Your options include:

  1. Host an employee: A short, medium or long-term workforce solution where an employee is part of your team while being employed by Endeavour Foundation. This model gives you stability and confidence, with the added benefit of on-site coaching from our team.
  2. NDIS-funded Mainstream Employment: You hire the employee directly, and Endeavour Foundation provides support to help them settle into the role and succeed long-term. These candidates are funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme and can work independently, with our team offering guidance when needed.
  3. Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA): You hire the employee directly, and we support both you and the employee throughout onboarding and beyond. This federally funded program can provide wage subsidies and additional workplace support, making it easier to build a diverse and inclusive workforce.

All options include guidance, training and support through the Employer Ready Program to ensure a smooth and successful employment experience.

If a placement doesn’t work as expected, we’ll work with you to address challenges, adjust roles or explore alternative opportunities until we find the right match for your team.
