“Being happy with myself is important to me, I’m just the same as you!”

Hi, I’m Grace,

I think everyone deserves to be happy with themselves.

I sometimes get treated differently because I’m a little bit different, but I think it would be bad if all people were exactly the same.

I think people should remember that we all have something in common – we all want to be happy with ourselves.

I hope that by sharing my message people will see that.

Independence is really important to me.

Independence is about respecting myself and being confident.

When you respect yourself you can achieve great things.

Most people are surprised by all the different things I do.

Would you believe I’m a Special Olympian who loves to swim, dance and learn new things.

I’m very proud of my sporting achievements.

I won four silver medals at the Special Olympics last year.

The medals mean a lot to me and I keep them in a very safe place at home.

I go do the Education and Lifestyle Program at Endeavour Foundation.

I like it because I learn things that help me become more independent.

I learn maths, PowerPoint and literacy.

I like the people at Windsor.
