Employment can create opportunities for greater independence, confidence and social connection. Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) is a free Federal Government-funded employment service that helps eligible people with disability prepare for, find and maintain employment.

As a specialist IEA provider for people with intellectual disability, Endeavour Foundation delivers tailored employment support that recognises each person's strengths, goals and aspirations. Backed by 75 years of experience and as Australia's largest employer of people with intellectual disability, we have local teams across Queensland, Victoria and South Australia ready to support the people you support.

Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) provides personalised support to help eligible people with disability prepare for work, find employment and succeed in the workplace. We work alongside jobseekers to build their skills and confidence, explore opportunities and achieve their employment goals.

What Is the Eligibility Criteria for IEA?

Every person's employment journey is different. If you're unsure whether the person you support is eligible, our team can help you understand the requirements, explore their options and identify the next steps towards employment.

The Person You Support May Be Eligible if They:

  • Have a disability, injury or health condition
  • Are looking for help to find or keep a job
  • Are aged 14 to 67 years (Age Pension age)
  • Are an Australian resident with the right to work in Australia

The Person You Support Does Not Need:

  • An NDIS plan
  • To receive the Disability Support Pension
  • Previous work experience
  • A referral before contacting us

What Happens Next

We contact you first to discuss the enquiry, confirm consent and understand the person’s circumstances and support needs.

From there, we can help the person understand the IEA pathway, arrange the next conversation and explain what support may be available before and after employment begins.

If IEA is not the right fit, we will explain why and help identify a more suitable pathway, which may include NDIS employment supports with Endeavour Foundation.

We are a specialist IEA provider for people with intellectual disability. With 75 years of experience supporting people with intellectual disability and as Australia's largest employer of people with intellectual disability, we understand the unique strengths, goals and support needs of the people we work alongside.

Endeavour Foundation delivers Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) services across Queensland, Victoria and South Australia. As a specialist IEA provider for people with intellectual disability, we support jobseekers, employers and referrers in metropolitan, regional and local communities across these states.

Yes. Support Coordinators, schools, community organisations, family members and other professionals can make a referral. We ask that you have the person's consent before sharing their details with us.

No. Inclusive Employment Australia is fully funded by the Federal Government. There is no cost to the person referred, to you or to your organisation.

No. IEA is separate from the NDIS and does not use a person's NDIS plan funding. Some people may be able to access both services, depending on their eligibility and goals.

You can still contact us. We can help you understand the eligibility requirements and the next steps. If IEA does not appear to be the right pathway, we can discuss other options that may be suitable.

No. People can access support at different stages of their employment journey. Whether they are exploring work for the first time or actively looking for a job, we can help them understand their options and work towards their employment goals.

Yes. We contact the person who submitted the referral to discuss the enquiry and confirm the next steps. With the person's consent, we can also provide relevant updates as the referral progresses.

Yes. If their current provider is not the right fit, they may be able to choose us as their new IEA provider. We can explain the process and support them to make an informed choice.

If IEA is not the most suitable pathway, we will explain why and discuss other employment support options that may better align with the person's needs and goals, including services available through us.
