Can operational performance and social impact work hand in hand? This long-running partnership shows how organisations can achieve both.
What if your recycling program could deliver more than environmental outcomes alone?
For more than 12 years, Australia and New Zealand Recycling Platform (ANZRP) has partnered with Endeavour Foundation Business Solutions to deliver reliable, compliant e-waste recycling services while creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with intellectual disability.
The partnership demonstrates how commercial outcomes and social impact can work together.
More than a decade later, the results continue to speak for themselves.
As a registered not-for-profit and certified B Corporation operating under the National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme (NTCRS), ANZRP needed a partner that could meet strict operational requirements while aligning with its values and social impact goals.
ANZRP originally engaged Endeavour Foundation Business Solutions through a tender process, seeking a partner that could meet rigorous recycling, safety and compliance standards while also contributing to positive community outcomes.
According to ANZRP CEO Carla Vasconi, the decision was driven by more than operational capability alone.
“(It was based on) social impact, values alignment and (Endeavour Foundation Business Solutions) being able to meet our recycling and compliance standards,” she said.
As organisations continue to strengthen their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments, partnerships like this one demonstrate how procurement decisions can also support broader social responsibility goals.
Across sites that include Kippa-Ring, Southport and Townsville in Queensland, Endeavour Foundation Business Solutions provides e-waste recycling support that helps ANZRP maintain high standards of quality, safety and environmental performance.
For ANZRP, reliability and transparency have been key strengths throughout the relationship.
“(We have witnessed) high quality, reliable and transparent service, great customer support, honest communication and an ability to meet our high quality, safety and environmental standards,” Carla said.
The partnership has also helped improve operational efficiency. By leveraging Endeavour Foundation’s Townsville recycling facility, ANZRP has been able to reduce logistics costs while better servicing Far North Queensland and Northern Territory locations.
At the same time, the partnership has contributed to ANZRP’s goal of increasing spend with social enterprises, creating value beyond standard service delivery.
For ANZRP, partnering with Endeavour Foundation Business Solutions is closely aligned with the organisation’s commitment to inclusion and social impact.
“It means a lot to the ANZRP team to be contributing to meaningful employment for people with disability, and it is very important to our members and customers,” Carla said.
The partnership supports ANZRP’s social enterprise spend goals while reinforcing its values as a registered not-for-profit and certified B Corporation.
Beyond operational outcomes, the relationship has also created valuable experiences for the ANZRP team through staff volunteering days alongside Endeavour Foundation employees.
During a visit to Endeavour Foundation’s Thomastown Industries site in Melbourne, team members worked together, shared conversations and gained firsthand insights into the skill involved in the work.
“The ANZRP team got to meet the Endeavour Foundation team, talk about our favourite football teams and learn how to do some of the jobs, which required a lot of precision and technique,” Carla said.
The experience resonated strongly with ANZRP employees, leading to another volunteering day planned for 2026 at the Oakleigh site.
According to Carla, these experiences help foster a stronger sense of pride and connection across the organisation.
“These sorts of social impact engagement activities help to build both enjoyment and pride in working at ANZRP,” she said.
When asked to describe Endeavour Foundation Business Solutions in a few words, Carla’s answer was simple: “Warm and honest.”
That genuine approach, combined with reliable service delivery, has helped build a trusted partnership spanning more than 12 years.
For organisations considering working with Endeavour Foundation Business Solutions, Carla’s advice is straightforward.
“It would be a great opportunity for you,” she said.
The partnership between ANZRP and Endeavour Foundation Business Solutions demonstrates how organisations can achieve strong operational outcomes while also creating meaningful social impact through employment opportunities for people with disability.
