As Endeavour Foundation prepares to step into our 75th year, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Chesterman as Chief Executive Officer.
With more than 30 years’ experience in public and community leadership – and over a decade spent in CEO roles – Andrew has a strong focus on business transformation, creating positive cultural change and improving financial performance.
Andrew is acutely aware of the ever-shifting NDIS landscape and brings combined business acumen and personal experience, with a focus on delivering positive and sustainable outcomes for people with intellectual disability.
“We are delighted that Andrew has agreed to join Endeavour Foundation to lead our dedicated team of people serving clients and families at a critical time in the NDIS environment,” Endeavour Foundation Chair Elizabeth Jameson AM said.
“Andrew brings an impressive and extensive track record in public and community leadership roles at the highest level, combined with a very personal commitment to serving people with intellectual disability.
“The Board is confident that Andrew’s professional and personal experience, combined, will serve our clients and families well into the future.”
Andrew’s ability to instantly connect with Endeavour Foundation and our core purpose comes from his personal experience as the father of a young man with intellectual disability.
As a family, Andrew, his wife and their daughter have together navigated the disability sector, seeking the best outcomes for their son and brother and their family as a whole.
“My experience has given me more than a cursory appreciation of what it is to live with, respect, advocate and care for people with an intellectual disability,” Andrew said.
As Endeavour Foundation prepares to celebrate 75 years since a group of pioneering parents began advocating for the rights of their children with intellectual disability, our mission for inclusion is as powerful and relevant as ever.
Once again, we are led by a parent who shares the conviction that everyone’s contribution matters.
