Endeavour Foundation hosted a "thank you" morning tea this Monday 2nd July to pay tribute to Redcliffe Rotary for their large donation to the Redcliffe Learning & Lifestyle in Hutchison Street.
Redcliffe Rotary donated a massive $10,000, raised at its annual charity golf day in 2011, to the Redcliffe service to purchase touch screens and furniture for the clients' computer room and such programs as Boardmaker, Choose and Cook, Concentrate, Personal Success, Jigworks, Switch It and LifeSkills.
The package has also included five hours of specialised training for clients and staff and the service users have started using the programs to great effect.
The Area Manager of Disability Services on the Sunshine Coast, Tony Vidler, was at the morning tea along with Redcliffe Rotary Club members and he says their support is much appreciated.
“This donation from Redcliffe Rotary has opened up a world of opportunities for Endeavour Foundation service users and the staff,” Mr Vidler said.
“They've had a wonderful time exploring the new programs and the touch screens make it so much easier for everyone.
“Redcliffe Rotary is a great supporter of Endeavour Foundation and we can't thank them enough.”
Around 25 service users and their families were at the morning tea alongside the staff and Redcliffe Rotary members.
Note: Redcliffe Rotary’s next annual charity golf day will be held on 14th September 2012.
