Endeavour Foundation CEO resigns

10 November 2015

Endeavour Foundation Chief Executive Officer David Barbagallo has today announced his resignation, after seven years at the helm of one of Australia’s leading disability service providers.

David came out of retirement to take up this role and has resigned to take up other challenges.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Grant Murdoch, said Mr Barbagallo had overseen the transformation of Endeavour Foundation from a Queensland-based organisation supporting 2,100 people with a disability to an organisation with operations in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, supporting more than 4,500 people on a daily basis.

“When the Productivity Commission released its report into Disability Care and Support, David saw this as the means to make a difference for people with a disability in Australia. He motivated the disability sector to get behind the “Every Australian Counts” campaign, which was heavily backed by Endeavour Foundation and led to the introduction of the NDIS.”

“I thank David for his commitment to transformational leadership and to making a better Australia for people with a disability.”

Endeavour Foundation’s Board of Directors will appoint an Acting Chief Executive Officer until a new CEO is appointed.
