Broncos super fan to kick off Manly lottery

17 June 2016

Broncos Lachlan Maranta and Jordan Kahu have joined Endeavour Foundation supported employee Stephen Rooney to take the charity’s new $1.3m Lottery Prize Home across the line.

Stephen, who has worked with Endeavour Foundation for over 20 years, is a Special Olympian and said that meeting his heroes was a dream come true.

“I’m a big Broncos supporter. I go to every home game and have done for a long time. I love to watch them playing – they’re a good team.”

Cutting the ribbon on the chic property in the eastern harbourside suburb of Manly, Maranta and Kahu said they were delighted to bring the Broncos experience direct to one of their biggest fans.

“It’s a privilege to meet Stephen today and fantastic to be able to give something back to one of our biggest fans. Importantly, we’re here because we believe so strongly in the Endeavour Foundation mission and are committed to working with people with a disability, enabling them to live life to the full.”

The lucky winner of Endeavour Foundation’s upcoming lottery will be treated to the epitome of bayside living, just 20 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD. Add to that a Stacer 429 Rampage Boat and boathouse, and this lottery delivers more than a home – it promises an aspirational lifestyle.

Executive General Manager of Supporter Enterprises Andrew Thomas said that the sought after location and superb design make this property, with its views over Manly Harbour, a ‘dream come true’ for one ticket holder.

“More importantly, the funds we raise will help us to deliver on the ambitions of the people we support,” Andrew said.

“Working together with people with a disability, we’re committed to supporting them to live life to the full, whether that means moving into a new home, gaining qualifications that help fulfil individual aspirations or, finding a job. Our focus is on supporting people along their journey.

“We’re particularly delighted to be able to bring Stephen face-to-face with the team he so avidly supports. Wins all round!”

Comprising four bedrooms, three bathrooms and offering three car spaces, the home is fully and luxuriously furnished in a Danish Modern style and located just a short stroll from the esplanade, restaurants, markets and schools.

The home at 232 Stratton Terrace, Manly, is now open for viewing. Tickets can be purchased online at www.endeavourlotteries.com.au.
