Brisbane unsung heroes

Leeanne Wellington works with Brisbane unsung heroes every day, orchestrating the many volunteers who operate Endeavour Foundation Recycled Clothing stores throughout the city. 

“We are grateful for our volunteers and the fantastic work they do,” said Leeanne.

“By volunteering their time, they help Endeavour to provide opportunities for Queenslanders with a disability.”

“However we constantly need to enlist more to keep our services running. Retirement is one of the main reasons we’re losing volunteers.  Recently, one of our longest running volunteers, Margaret Luxton, retired after 20 years working at Endeavour’s Graceville store.  It will be impossible to replace someone like Meg.”
