Tewantin clothing store calls for vollies during National Volunteer Week
Ethel Hansen is practically part of the furniture at Endeavour Recycled Clothing Tewantin.
Thelma, 85, started volunteering at the store in 1985 and continues to devote her time every Friday.
“Thelma is one of 38 highly valued volunteers at Endeavour Recycled Clothing Tewantin and with National Volunteer Week this week, I'd really like to highlight their marvellous efforts," said store manager Judith Murray.
“Volunteers are the backbone of Endeavour Recycled Clothing and we only wish we had more.”
Judith is calling for more volunteers to join her team. Benefits include a great social atmosphere, learning new skills, work experience, job variety and helping support people with a disability.
All funds raised through Endeavour Recycled Clothing go to Endeavour Foundation’s efforts of supporting more than 3,350 people with a disability.
