Silver Shop’s ‘Endeavour Day’ is a great excuse for guilt-free shopping

Silver Shop has come up with a way of providing the ultimate guilt-free shopping experience with their annual Endeavour Day.

This Friday (June 17) will mark Endeavour Day 2011, when all proceeds from all 10 Silver Shop jewellery stores across Queensland will go to Endeavour Foundation. The retail chain hopes to raise $40,000 on the day.

Endeavour Foundation provides opportunities for more than 3,350 people with disabilities across Queensland and NSW.

This year’s Endeavour Day is particularly special, as it coincides with Endeavour Foundation’s 60th anniversary week. Endeavour Foundation was founded on June 14 1951, by parents of children with a disability. It started as a school for children with a disability.

The charity sales day precedes the Endeavour Foundation’s annual fundraising event, the Great Endeavour Rally, which will take place in July. Silver Shop’s Managing Director Colin Desbrow participates in the race every year.

“Endeavour is a really great organisation to be involved with and a very worthy cause. We hope Silver Shops and the Endeavour Foundation continue their close association for a long time to come,” Colin said.

Silver Shop’s Endeavour Day is made a little easier with the help of leading jewellery wholesalers including Pandora, Najo, Palas, Tuskc and Von Treskow. The wholesalers have backed the project wholeheartedly, offering support in the form of donations to boost Silver Shop’s offering.

Managing Director of PANDORA Karin Adcock said: “This is a creative way to raise much-needed funds. Endeavour Day gives a great reason to treat yourself or someone you love to beautiful jewellery, knowing that the purchase is going to a worthy cause.”

Since 2006 Silver Shop’s Endeavour Day has helped raise more than $157,000 for Endeavour Foundation, which is one of the largest non-government disability service providers in Australia.
