Sunshine Coast Endeavour leads in confidential document destruction

Throwing away confidential documents can be a big risk – nobody wants to see their private information in the wrong hands.

But Sunshine Coast businesses can rest assured when disposing of sensitive information, after Endeavour Foundation Industries Maroochydore recently received Triple A certification from the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID).

The Triple A certification from NAID – the field’s peak body – confirms Endeavour Foundation Industries Maroochydore offers the highest possible quality confidential document destruction service.

"Endeavour Foundation Industries Maroochydore offers the only NAID-accredited confidential document destruction service on the Sunshine Coast, servicing from Redcliffe in Brisbane right up to Noosa,” said Endeavour Foundation Industries Maroochydore manager Rick Guy.

"As a member of the NAID, our information destruction professionals are regularly trained according to the highest industry standards, ensuring security and confidentiality of documents.”

The service sees such sensitive information as payroll data, personnel files, financial statements, customer/client records and details, business forecasts and business strategies destroyed in a well-controlled, secure environment.

Customers include hospitals, TAFEs, banks, solicitors, real estate agents and medical centres.

"Every business has private and sensitive information that owners don't want to end up at the tip or in the hands of others,” said Rick.

"Through Endeavour's confidential document destruction, customers can have peace of mind that their data has been securely destroyed in a controlled environment.”

Rick said his customers were thrilled with the affordable, easy solution.

"People are becoming more conscious of identity theft and your average office shredders provide no record of regulation compliance in terms of destroying the confidential documents, which may be needed in the event of a privacy violation, complaint or audit,” he said.

"In-house shredding is unreliable, time-consuming and therefore costly as employers are paying their workers to spend hours of their working day at the shredder.”

Endeavour's service provides customers with lockable wheelie bins, secure transport of the locked wheelie bin when it’s full to the destruction site at Endeavour Foundation Industries Maroochydore, and the option of obtaining a certificate of guarantee to verify the documents have been destroyed.

The destruction involves shredding the documents with a purpose-designed state-of-the-art shredding machine, before the material is mulched and recycled into other cardboard and paper products.

The process ensures all information on the documents is 100 per cent destroyed and unrecognisable. Endeavour is one of Queensland’s largest providers of secure document destruction.

Endeavour Foundation Industries Maroochydore employs 80 people with a disability.

Along with the confidential document destruction service, the site offers a packaging service and distributes wooden stakes and pegs, as well as distributing industrial cleaning cloth for commercial use.

Endeavour Foundation Industries Maroochydore is one of 26 Endeavour Foundation Industries throughout Queensland and Sydney which offer a variety of services and provide employment and training opportunities to more than 1,850 people with a disability.

All Endeavour Foundation Industries profits go toward supporting people with a disability, through providing accommodation, education and employment services.
