Endeavour Foundation pays tribute to its volunteers
In celebration of National Volunteers Week, Endeavour Foundation held a luncheon at its head office in Cannon Hill to thank the army of men and women who regularly volunteer their services to assist the Foundation.
Thirty volunteers, with a combined 124 years of service, accepted their well deserved accolades from Endeavour’s Board of Directors and CEO Kelvin Spiller. Each volunteer was presented with a gift and Certificate of Appreciation by Chairman of the Board, Shane Charles, who along with other fellow Board Members is a volunteer. In thanking the group, Mr Charles advised that without their hard work and commitment Endeavour would need to find more than $2,000,000 every year to provide the same services.

The four ladies, who met while volunteering, have a staggering 71 years of voluntary service to the Endeavour Foundation. The ladies, who now volunteer at the Paddington Endeavour Recycled Clothing Store, all agreed that they volunteer because they “enjoy it”.
To ensure all its volunteers where acknowledged for their dedication to Endeavour, a morning tea was held throughout National Volunteers Week at each Recycled Store. Endeavour has over 1500 proud volunteers working around the State.
Endeavour Foundation, one of the largest non-government, not-for-profit organisations of its kind in Australia, supports and provides opportunities for people with a disability throughout Queensland. Volunteers are a vital part of Endeavour’s success and it is always on the lookout for more. Endeavour offers rewarding opportunities across many areas for those wishing to contribute, and ensures that each individual volunteer’s interests and expectations are met.
