Your chance to make a premier Brisbane cycling event – and help Endeavour, too
Ever wanted to play a key role in a major cycling event?
To be part of the exciting bustle as you marshal elite cyclists for the start,
offering them refreshments and a cheer squad along the route, being there to
see them flash over the finish line?
Well, here’s your chance! And the best part is – you will be helping
Endeavour Foundation support people with a disability.
Endeavour is the charity partner for the BDO Brisbane Coot-tha Challenge on
Sunday, 21 March.
Endeavours Manager Volunteering and Community Engagement Sarah
Dreaver said it was a great opportunity for a fun day outdoors while making a major difference to two iconic Queensland organisations: “We need volunteers for as little as two hours to help with a range of roles
including information officer, route marshal, rest-stop staff, cheer leader and
general assistant at locations around Brisbane,” Sarah said.
“The BDO Brisbane Coot-tha Challenge is one of Brisbane’s most iconic bike
rides, attracting thousands of participants. The more who participate, the
more Endeavour benefits.
“We will supply everything volunteers need – a souvenir T-shirt, drinks,
sunscreen, insurance coverage and, of course, plenty of fun.”
Bicycle Queensland’s General Manager Ben Wilson said that Endeavour, like
BQ, was a proud Queensland company doing great work in the community.
“We are very pleased to be able to support them,” Ben said.
“Last year, Endeavour played key role in September’s Cycle Queensland ride
and entered a 100-strong team in the Wilson HTM Brisbane to Gold Coast
Cycle Challenge.”
