Shane Charles, Chair
Shane, who was recently appointed to the Audit, Finance and Asset Committee, is a solicitor and partner in the firm of Condon Charles, based in Toowoomba. His particular areas of interest are Wills and Estates, and business structuring.

Shane has a long-standing family connection to Endeavour. He is a member of the South West Queensland Area Committee.

Condon Charles performs voluntary work for many community organisations.

Shane is a member of the Board of the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Toowoomba District Health Service.



 

Gerry Crotty, Deputy Chair
Gerry has been involved with Endeavour for over 20 years. He is a member of the Wide Bay Area Committee.

Gerry is the CEO of a not-for-profit community business in the employment and training industry.

He is also a strong supporter of grass roots community participation.

Gerry is involved in Apex and Rotary and is the President of the Australian Institute of Country Music, and a Director of the Queensland Folk Federation, which organises the Woodford Folk Festival.



 

Grant Murdoch, Treasurer
Grant is a partner and the Divisional Director of Ernst & Young Transaction Advisory Services Limited in Queensland. He has extensive experience in investment advice business in relation to mergers, acquisitions, takeovers, corporate restructures and share issues.

Grant is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland Business School and a member of the Commercial Committee of the Mater Medical Research Institute.  Grant is Treasurer of the University of Queensland Rugby Club and was a member of the Queensland Deaf Society for ten years.

With 35 years chartered accountancy experience, his particular areas of expertise include pre-acquisition pricing due diligence advice, expert reports for capital raisings and IPOs including assistance with negotiations.

Grant is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and is a past Chairman of the Queensland Committee and a Member of the National Professional Standards Committee.

He has a Public Practice Certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand and is a past Chairman of the Canterbury/Westland Branch.



 

John Bowen
John has been involved with Endeavour since 1994. He is the Chair of the Brisbane Metropolitan Area Committee.

John retired from Queensland Health in 1998, following a career spanning 40 years. His work involved hospital administration and management in the areas of service delivery, senior management, policy formulation, and corporate affairs in a number of regional centres.



 

David de Villiers
David was educated in South Africa and the United Kingdom and has a background in child psychology. David worked as Senior Guidance Officer for Education Queensland Gladstone District prior to his appointment as Principal of Rosella Park School (for students with disabilities) in 1995.

David has also been a part time lecturer in psychology at the Gladstone Campus of Central Queensland University since 1991, and is currently contracted to the Education Faculty. In June 2000, he was awarded the Public Service Medal (PSM) for services to Special Education.

David has been involved with Endeavour since 1996, initially on the Gladstone Branch Board, and is currently a member of the Central Queensland Area Committee.



 

David Rawnsley
David was appointed to Endeavour’s Board of Directors in 2006.

He currently owns his own business, Rawnsley Autos, and is completing a Masters of Business Administration at James Cook University.

He has been on the Endeavour Foundation North Queensland Area Committee since 2004, taking on the role of Deputy Chair in 2005, and becoming Chair in 2006.

David was President of the Townsville Apex Club in 2001 and 2002.
